DAX Rebounds on Tuesday

The DAX 40 climbed 0.4% on Tuesday, moving above 26,200 after a weak start to the week, supported by easing concerns over the latest US sanctions on Iran and stronger domestic data. Better-than-expected German GDP figures and improved business confidence lifted sentiment. On Monday, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent unveiled a global sanctions program targeting countries that maintain economic and trade ties with Iran; however, the measures were widely viewed as unlikely to cause major disruptions to oil supplies.

Chipmakers attempted to recover from Monday’s losses as investors positioned themselves ahead of Nvidia’s earnings release. Infineon Technologies led the advance, gaining more than 2% alongside other AI-related stocks. Siemens Energy rose 1.4%, helped by reports that it has mandated Goldman Sachs to explore a possible sale of its majority stake in its steam turbine business.

On the downside, Siemens Healthineers fell 1.1%, while SAP and Volkswagen declined 1.1% and 0.7%, respectively, ranking among the session’s worst performers.
