Poland Producer Inflation Highest Since 2023

Poland’s annual producer inflation accelerated to 4.2% in August 2026, up from an upwardly revised 3.1% in July and above market expectations of 3.6%. This was the sixth consecutive month of producer price increases and the highest rate since April 2023. The rise was driven by faster price growth in mining and quarrying (6.4% vs 4% in July), manufacturing (4.6% vs 3.5%), and electricity, gas, steam and hot water supply (1.4% vs 0.3%). In contrast, price growth eased slightly in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (2.2% vs 2.3%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.6% in August, decelerating from an upwardly revised 1% in the previous month. Over the January–August period, producer prices were up 1.3%.
