GBP/USD M5 Analysis: Buyers Hold Ground but Short-Term Pressure Remains Market Overview GBP/USD experienced a lower opening gap, but sellers were unable to use it to extend the bearish move. Instead, buyers regained control for a significant part of the session, helping the pair recover from early weakness. Despite this recovery, the market remains near important technical levels that could determine the next short-term direction. Technical Analysis On the 5-minute chart, the pair has started moving along the lower volatility band, while both bands are expanding outward. This setup suggests that downside pressure may still be present in the market. However, traders should wait for additional confirmation to determine whether the bearish signal develops into a stronger trend. The Awesome Oscillator remains below the zero line and is attempting to build momentum in negative territory. Although this supports the possibility of further declines, the signal is not yet strong enough to confirm a sustained bearish move. A stronger increase in negative momentum would strengthen the case for lower prices. On the other hand, if the indicator crosses above zero and gains momentum in positive territory, it would provide a more reliable bullish signal. For intraday trading, a break and stabilization below 1.32307 could encourage additional selling pressure toward 1.32186. Meanwhile, buyers may regain momentum if the price successfully breaks and holds above 1.32527, creating room for a move toward 1.32669. Key Levels Support: 1.32307, 1.31827, 1.31617 Resistance: 1.32527, 1.32725, 1.33243 Buy Targets: 1.32669, 1.33243, 1.34331 Sell Targets: 1.32186, 1.31617, 1.31242 Trading Outlook The short-term chart shows signs of bearish pressure, but the broader recovery by buyers cannot be ignored. A confirmed breakout above resistance would support further gains, while a move below support could strengthen the bearish scenario. Traders should focus on breakout confirmation before entering positions.
