XAU/USD Awaiting US JOLTS jobs data, gold rises off eight-week lows at $4,110 early on Tuesday. Alongside US Treasury yields, the US dollar enters a bullish consolidation; bets on a Fed rate hike continue. A falling wedge breakdown Gold confirms a falling wedge breakdown, but the daily RSI remains negative. After hitting an eight-week low of $4,110 on Monday, gold makes a mild comeback, halting the steep sell-off early on Tuesday. As the US jobs data approaches, gold is still at risk. The US dollar (USD) is entering a phase of positive consolidation along with the yields on US Treasury bonds, while gold is seeing a dead cat bounce as sellers take a break. The benchmark 10-year US Treasury yield reached a 19-year high over 5.27% on Monday as the global bond crisis intensified, making the monthly sell-off the largest in two years. Global stocks saw a severe meltdown as a result of rising yields, which reduced their appeal as an alternative investment. Gold fell over 4% as a result of a "sell everything" mentality.
