In August, Dutch manufacturers displayed a less pessimistic outlook, driven by a more favorable assessment of their order portfolios and finished product inventories, according to data released Thursday by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
The producer sentiment index improved to -1.9 in August, up from -2.7 in July.
However, this latest figure remains marginally below the long-term average of -1.3.
The survey indicated that manufacturers had a less negative view of their order positions and finished goods inventories in August. Additionally, there was increased optimism regarding expected production over the upcoming three months.
Notably, confidence saw the most significant growth among manufacturers in the wood and building materials sectors.
