Vertiv (VRT) has announced that its Chinese subsidiary has acquired specific assets and technologies from BiXin Energy Technology. BiXin is known for its manufacturing of chillers, heat pumps, heat recovery solutions, and air-handling units. Their core product lineup includes oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal water-cooled and air-cooled chillers that utilize pumped-refrigerant-economization technology, boasting cooling capacities of up to 5.5 MW. Since the beginning of 2024, Vertiv has collaborated with BiXin Energy Technology to produce Vertiv-branded products for its existing clientele in China and across Asia.
"This acquisition aligns with our capital allocation strategy, focusing on incorporating technologies that are at the early stages of their maturity curve into our portfolio," stated Giordano Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv.
