In February 2025, Slovenia achieved a trade surplus of EUR 2,141.6 million, marking a significant shift from the deficit of EUR 1,122.8 million recorded in the same month the previous year. Exports surged by 88.6% compared to the previous year, reaching an all-time high of EUR 8,404.9 million. This impressive growth was largely driven by a staggering 212.6% increase in sales to non-EU countries, while exports to EU member states experienced a marginal rise of 0.1%. On the import side, there was a 12.3% increase, totaling EUR 6,263.4 million, primarily due to a 28% rise in imports from non-EU countries, although imports from within the EU declined by 3.9%. Cumulatively, over the first two months of the year, Slovenia reported a trade surplus of EUR 2,340.9 million.
