In March 2025, Serbia witnessed a sharp decline in producer prices, which plummeted to a mere 0.1% year-on-year, following a 1.1% increase in the prior month. This represented the first instance of producer price deflation since September 2024. Notably, prices in the manufacturing sector decreased (-0.8% compared to a 0.7% increase in February), while deflation deepened in the mining and quarrying sectors (-3.4% compared to -0.9%). Furthermore, there was a slight reduction in prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities, now standing at 20.5% compared to 20.6% previously. Meanwhile, prices remained stable for the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector at 1.1%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices decreased by 0.1% in March 2025, a moderation from the 0.3% decline recorded in the preceding month.
