FX.co ★ Dutch Manufacturing Growth Hits 14-Month High

The Nevi Netherlands Manufacturing PMI rose to 51.9 in July 2025, up from 51.2 in June, marking the second consecutive month of expansion and the fastest growth rate since May 2024. This increase was primarily driven by a stronger surge in new orders, particularly from the export sector. Consistent with trends since March, production levels continued their steady climb. In response, companies expanded their workforce, achieving the highest job creation rate since March 2023. Meanwhile, backlogs of work decreased further, extending a depletion trend that has persisted for two and a half years. Notably, for the first time in nearly three years, firms ramped up their input purchases, resulting in the first increase in pre-production inventories since early 2023. However, lead times for input deliveries extended. In terms of pricing, both input costs and output charge inflation saw an acceleration, although they remained muted compared to historical levels. Additionally, manufacturers expressed improved growth expectations for the upcoming year in July.
