In October 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a notable 9% increase in retail sales compared to the same month the previous year. This follows a 3.7% rise in September and represents the most significant growth since May 2024. The surge was primarily driven by increased activity in the automotive fuel sector, which rose by 12.6% compared to 10.9% in September, and in the non-food products sector, which saw a dramatic jump of 12.7% up from 3.2%. Conversely, there was a slight decline in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, dropping by 0.5% following a prior increase of 0.2%. On a month-to-month basis, the retail trade improved by 3.4% in October, recovering from a 1.1% decline experienced in the previous month.
