In December 2025, Chile's IMACEC economic activity index experienced a year-over-year growth of 1.7%, marking an improvement from the 1.2% increase observed in November. The commerce sector demonstrated the most robust performance, with a growth of 6.6%. The services sector recorded a rise of 2.2%, and the industrial sector saw an increase of 2.0%. In contrast, the mining sector experienced a contraction of 8.1%, and the overall goods production decreased by 0.9%. On a monthly basis, economic activity surged by 9.6%, building on the 2.4% growth from the previous month.
