Industrial production in Belarus fell by 3.4% year-on-year in January 2026, reversing a 2.9% increase recorded in the same month a year earlier. Output declined in manufacturing (-7.5%), water supply, waste management and remediation activities (-2.9%), and mining and quarrying (-1.3%). In contrast, production in the electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply sector rose sharply, increasing by 17.5%.
