Angola’s April Inflation Cools to 11.58% Year-on-Year, Extending Disinflation Trend

Angola’s consumer price inflation eased further in April 2026, with the year-on-year Consumer Price Index (CPI) slowing to 11.58%, down from 12.42% in March 2026. The latest data, updated on 8 May 2026, confirms a continued disinflationary trend in the Angolan economy.

Both the current and previous readings reflect year-on-year changes, comparing each month’s prices with the same month a year earlier. The April figure indicates that while consumer prices are still rising, they are doing so at a slower pace than in March, suggesting easing price pressures that could support household purchasing power and provide policymakers with slightly more room to maneuver on the economic front.
