FX.co ★ Swedish Economic Activity Eases in April

The Swedish economy expanded by 0.5% month-on-month in April 2026, following a downwardly revised 1.5% increase in March, marking a second consecutive month of GDP growth. “The Swedish economy continued to grow in April, albeit at a somewhat more moderate pace than the strong figures recorded in March. Growth was relatively broad-based, with increased production in the general government sector as well as across both goods- and service-producing industries, and particularly strong growth in industrial production,” said Mattias Kain Wyatt, economist at Statistics Sweden. On an annual basis, the economy grew by 2.4% in April, easing from an upwardly revised 2.8% increase in March.
