US Year-Ahead Inflation Expectations Revised Slightly Up

According to the University of Michigan's final data, year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States have risen for the fourth consecutive month, reaching 5% in March 2025. This marks the steepest increase since October 2022 and is marginally higher than the preliminary estimate of 4.9%. Concurrently, the five-year inflation outlook was revised upward to 4.1% for March, the highest level since February 1993, surpassing both the initial 3.9% estimate and February's figure of 3.5%.
