This represents the largest deficit recorded since April 2024, driven by a significant increase in the goods account shortfall, which rose to EUR 6.4 billion from EUR 5.8 billion the previous month. Meanwhile, the surplus in the services account showed a slight improvement, rising to EUR 4.1 billion compared to EUR 4 billion. The primary income surplus remained stable at EUR 4.3 billion in February 2025, and the secondary income deficit also held steady at EUR 3.9 billion.
