In March 2025, Botswana's inflation rate escalated to 2.8%, marking the third consecutive month of increase and the highest point since last August. The primary contributors to this uptick were the prices of miscellaneous goods and services, holding steady at 7.7% compared to February; food and non-alcoholic beverages, rising to 5.8% from 5.5%; alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which climbed to 7.6% from 7.4%; and clothing and footwear, increasing to 4.2% from 3.9%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a 0.2% rise in March, following a 0.3% increase in February.
