Bahrain's economy experienced a 3.4% growth year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024, an acceleration from the revised 2.9% growth noted in the preceding quarter, according to preliminary data. This represents the most robust growth since the last quarter of 2023, driven primarily by a 4.6% rise in the non-oil sector. In contrast, the oil sector experienced a 3.5% decline. Over the entire year, Bahrain's economy expanded by 2.6%, largely due to a 3.8% increase in non-oil activities, which contribute 86.0% to the nation's GDP. Meanwhile, the oil sector contracted by 4%. Looking ahead to 2025, the economy is projected to grow by 2.7%, supported by a 3.4% rise in non-oil sector activities.
