The unemployed population slightly decreased by 2,000, bringing the total to 385,000, as employment figures climbed to 9.833 million. The labor force participation rate remained unchanged at 76.1%. During this timeframe, there was an increase in unemployment benefits, with notable rises observed in the sectors of agriculture, landscaping, and fisheries (+7.3%); the food and luxury goods industry (+7%); construction (+5.1%); government (+4.5%); and other commercial services (+3.6%). When compared to May 2024, the current unemployment rate is 0.2 percentage points higher than the 3.6% recorded a year earlier.
