Belgium Producer Prices Fall 0.6% in June

In June 2025, Belgium experienced a 0.6% decrease in producer prices year-over-year, a reversal from a 0.3% increase noted the previous month. This downturn primarily resulted from a decline in consumer goods prices, which dropped by 0.03%, in contrast to a 1.61% rise in May. The decrease was more pronounced in durable consumer goods, which fell by 0.62%, compared to a 0.47% reduction previously. Non-durable consumer goods saw no change in prices, remaining stable compared with the 1.7% increase in May. Additionally, prices in intermediate goods declined by 1.70%, accelerating from a 0.48% fall, while energy prices continued their downward trend at a rate of -1.96%, slightly improved from -2.01%. Conversely, prices for capital goods increased at a faster rate of 2.65%, up from 2.52%, partially counterbalancing the overall decrease in producer prices. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.5% in June, following a 0.2% reduction in May.
