According to preliminary data, Croatia's trade deficit expanded to EUR 2.0 billion in July 2025, an increase from EUR 1.5 billion in the same month of the previous year. Export figures showed a growth of 3.9%, reaching EUR 2.201 billion, while imports rose by 3.1%, totaling EUR 4.194 billion. Over the period from January to June, the trade gap increased to EUR 11.7 billion, up from EUR 11.4 billion in the corresponding timeframe of 2024. This period witnessed exports climbing by 3.9% to EUR 14.5 billion, driven by heightened demand from EU countries by 4.6% and from non-EU countries by 2.4%. Meanwhile, imports surged by 3.1% to EUR 26.2 billion, fueled by greater purchases from EU nations by 0.3% and a significant rise from non-EU countries by 13.9%.
