FX.co ★ Chile Producer Prices Surge in August

Chile's producer prices experienced a significant year-on-year rise of 8.9% in August 2025, an increase from July's 5.6%, marking the most rapid growth since January. This increase was primarily propelled by a notable 20.8% rise in utility prices, albeit at a slower rate compared to July's 26.2%. Inflation within the mining sector escalated to 11.7% from the previous 5.8%, bolstered by an 11% increase in copper prices. Meanwhile, manufacturing inflation saw an uptick to 1.3% from 0.2%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices rose by 0.3%, showing a deceleration from the 1.2% increase observed in the previous month.
