Bosnia And Herzegovina Inflation Slows in August

In August 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina saw its annual inflation rate decrease to 4.1%, down from a two-year peak of 4.8% recorded in the previous month. The deceleration in inflation was primarily due to slower price increases in sectors such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 9.2% compared to 10.8% previously, and restaurants and hotels, which experienced a price growth of 7.2% down from 7.5%. Additionally, housing and utilities showed a minimal rise of 0.2%, dropping from 1.4%, and other goods and services saw a modest decrease to 3.5% from 3.8%. Meanwhile, there was a further price decline in clothing and footwear, shrinking by 5.7% as opposed to a 5.3% decrease earlier. However, there was a slight uptick in the inflation rate for furnishings and household equipment, now at 1.1% compared to 1.0%. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, along with health services, remained steady, with no change at 3.7% and 6.1%, respectively. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.2% in August, overturning the 0.2% increase observed in July.
