In August 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a 4.6% decrease in industrial production compared to the previous year, following a 3.9% fall in July. This represents the most significant decline since February, primarily attributed to a substantial reduction in consumer non-durable goods output, which dropped by 4.5% compared to a 3.1% fall in July. Conversely, production of capital goods increased at an accelerated rate of 6.1%, up from 5.3% the previous month. The contraction in intermediate goods, consumer durables, and energy production lessened, with intermediate goods decreasing by 1.1% compared to a 3.3% fall in July, consumer durables declining by 31.5% versus 36.6%, and energy dropping by 11.8% compared to 11.9%. Seasonally adjusted, industrial output fell by 3.3% in August, worsening from a 1.3% decrease in July.
