Angola Inflation Rate Hits 2-Year Low of 17.4%

In October 2025, Angola experienced a further decline in its annual inflation rate, reaching 17.43%. This marks a low point not seen since October 2023 and continues the downward trend that began in August 2024. The stability of the kwanza has played a significant role in this reduction. A deceleration in price increases was observed across various sectors, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (17.76%, down from 18.48% in September); alcoholic beverages and tobacco (17.93%, down from 19.22%); clothing and footwear (16.97%, down from 18.43%); furnishings and household equipment (16.30%, down from 17.32%); health (20.86%, down from 22.11%); transportation (20.39%, down from 21.39%); recreation and culture (13.45%, down from 14.03%), and hotels, cafes, and restaurants (16.29%, down from 18.12%). On a month-to-month basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a rise of 0.93%, following a 1.08% increase the previous month.
