In September 2025, Malaysia's unemployment rate dipped to 3.0%, a reduction from 3.2% the previous year, marking the lowest unemployment level since April 2015 for the fourth consecutive month. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 5.5% year-on-year, reaching a more than six-year low of 518,600. Concurrently, employment figures rose by 3.1%, setting a new record at 17.03 million. Additionally, the labor force participation rate climbed to a record high of 70.9%, up from 70.5% in the same period the previous year.
