Euro Area Inflation Rate Revised Down to 2.1%

In November 2025, the annual inflation rate within the Eurozone was adjusted downward to 2.1% from an initial estimate of 2.2%, consistent with the figure observed in October. The rate of price increases for food, alcohol, and tobacco decelerated to 2.4% from 2.5%, and for non-energy industrial goods, it slowed to 0.5% from 0.6%. Conversely, prices for services accelerated slightly to 3.5% from 3.4%, while energy prices declined at a slower pace of -0.5% compared to -0.9%. Cyprus, France, and Italy had the lowest annual inflation rates at 0.1%, 0.8%, and 1.1% respectively. On the other hand, Estonia and Croatia experienced the highest rates, registering 4.7% and 4.3%. Germany recorded an inflation rate of 2.6%, whereas in Spain, it reached 3.2%. In a separate metric, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 0.3% month-over-month, aligning with forecasts and marking the first decline since January. Furthermore, the annual core inflation rate remained steady at 2.4% for the second consecutive month.
