In the third quarter of 2025, the Netherlands recorded a current account surplus of €19.75 billion, slightly down from €19.8 billion during the same period the previous year. The goods surplus expanded to €19.7 billion from €17.9 billion, while the services surplus grew to €9.2 billion from €8.7 billion. Conversely, the deficit in primary income rose to €5.8 billion compared to €4.3 billion, and the shortfall in secondary income increased to €3.3 billion from €2.5 billion.
