Chile Producer Inflation Slows in November

Producer prices in Chile rose by 8.9% year-on-year in November 2025, marking the lowest increase in three months, following a 9.7% rise in October. The manufacturing sector experienced a decline in prices, dropping by 0.1% compared to a previous increase of 1.8%. Additionally, there was a slowdown in cost escalation within the mining sector, with prices rising by 14.6% compared to 14.7%, and in utilities, which saw a rise of 11.1% down from 11.5%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 0.8%, driven largely by a 0.8% decrease in the mining industry, where copper prices fell by 1.3%. Manufacturing prices also fell by 0.7%, primarily due to a significant drop in the cost of manufacturing wood pulp, paper, and cardboard, which declined by 2.3%. Conversely, utility prices increased by 1%, mainly due to a substantial rise in water collection, treatment, and distribution costs, which went up by 4.7%.
