In the third quarter of 2025, Luxembourg’s current account surplus decreased to €1,802 million, compared to €4,468 million during the same timeframe the previous year. The surplus in trade of goods diminished to €59 million from €535 million, while the surplus in services declined to €7,169 million from €8,006 million. Meanwhile, the secondary income surplus reduced to €84 million from €186 million, and the primary income deficit grew to €5,511 million from €4,259 million. For the first nine months of 2025, the current account surplus shrank to €5,913 million, down from €6,845 million in the same period in 2024.
