In January 2026, Slovenia's consumer confidence indicator increased by 3 percentage points from the previous month, reaching -21, the highest level observed since February 2022. Households showed reduced pessimism regarding the 12-month outlook for the general economy, improving to -28 from -33 in December. Their assessment of their own financial situation also improved, rising to -9 from -15. Similarly, sentiment towards savings improved to -13 from -20. Additionally, the outlook for major purchases in the year ahead was slightly more optimistic, moving to -29 from -30 in December. Nonetheless, there was heightened concern about future unemployment, which rose to 22 from 19, and about the price trend, edging up to 50 from 49.
