On a month-over-month basis, the “actual” December figure of 1.1% reflects the change from November to December, while the “previous” 0.7% reading represents the change from October to November 2025. The pickup in growth suggests that service industries ended 2025 on a stronger footing compared with the prior month’s performance.
The improvement in December’s service output could be an encouraging signal for South Korea’s domestic demand and broader economic momentum heading into 2026, with the sector showing resilience through the final months of 2025.
