Spain’s consumer confidence inched up in February 2026, according to the latest Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI), signaling a marginal improvement in sentiment at the start of the year.
The headline PCSI reading for Spain rose to 49.99 in February 2026, up from 49.23 in January 2026 on a month-over-month basis. The data, updated on 12 February 2026, indicate that sentiment remains just below the neutral 50-point threshold, but the steady increase suggests that consumer perceptions of economic conditions are slowly strengthening compared with the previous month.
Under the survey’s methodology, the “Actual” figure reflects the change in February versus January, while the “Previous” figure captures the shift in January compared with December. With February’s uptick, Spain continues a tentative trend of gradual improvement in consumer mood as the year progresses.
