Thailand’s economy showed a solid rebound in the final quarter of 2025, with gross domestic product (GDP) expanding by 1.90% quarter-on-quarter, according to data updated on 16 February 2026. This marks a sharp turnaround from the third quarter of 2025, when GDP had contracted by 0.30% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
The comparison is made on a quarter-over-quarter basis, with the current figure reflecting the change in GDP from the fourth quarter to the third quarter of 2025. The previous indicator showed how GDP in the third quarter compared to the second quarter. The move from a 0.30% decline to 1.90% growth suggests a clear improvement in short-term economic momentum at the end of 2025, signaling a return to expansion after a brief contraction earlier in the year.
