Croatia’s economy grew by 3.6% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 2.3% in the previous quarter. Household consumption strengthened (2.6% vs. 1.9% in Q3), and government expenditure also rose at a faster pace (4.7% vs. 3.8%). Net external demand made a positive contribution, as exports rebounded (1.5% vs. -1.1%) and outpaced imports (0.3% vs. 2.4%). In contrast, growth in gross fixed capital formation eased slightly to 6.9% from 7.5%.
On the production side, robust gains were recorded in manufacturing (6.4% vs. 3.3%) and in information and communication (4.2% vs. 2.0%). On a seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP increased by 1.4%, following a 0.4% rise in the third quarter.
