Slovenia Producer Inflation Slows in February

Slovenia’s annual producer inflation eased to 1.5% in February 2026, down from 1.9% in January. Price growth in the manufacturing sector slowed to 1.2% from 2.0%, with notable decelerations in food products (2.8% vs 4.5%), beverages (3.4% vs 4.5%), textiles (2.4% vs 2.6%), basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (0.1% vs 5.8%), and electrical equipment (1.4% vs 1.7%). Meanwhile, prices for water supply swung from a 5.0% increase to a 3.5% decline. In contrast, prices for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply rebounded sharply, rising 7.8% after a 2.6% drop in the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices were unchanged, following a 0.4% rise in January.
