Net positions improved to -172.6K contracts, up from the previous -178.0K. While the overall stance remains net short, the smaller negative figure indicates that bearish positioning among speculators has eased slightly since the last reading. This shift suggests some unwinding of pessimistic bets, though speculative sentiment toward U.S. natural gas remains cautious.
