French 6-Month BTF Yield Edges Higher to 2.587%

The yield on France’s 6-month BTF (Bon du Trésor à taux fixe et à intérêt précompté) inched up at the latest auction, reaching 2.587% compared with 2.554% at the previous sale. The updated figure was reported on 27 July 2026.

The modest rise in the short-term borrowing cost suggests a slightly firmer rate environment for French sovereign debt at the very front end of the curve. While the change is incremental, it underscores that investors are continuing to demand a somewhat higher return to hold French Treasury bills over the six-month horizon.
