Calibre Mining Announces Resignation Of David Splett As CFO

Calibre Mining Corp. (CXBMF, CXB.V) announced on Friday that Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer David Splett will resign from his position effective July 31, 2024. Splett has served as CFO of Calibre since late November 2021.

Before joining Calibre, Splett was the CFO at Elevation Gold and previously held the role of CFO for Latin America at Goldcorp Inc. He has also served as Vice President of Finance at Mosaic Corp. and has worked with Minera Panama SA, Teck Resources, and Potash Corp.

Additionally, the company stated that Douglas Hurst and Raymond Threlkeld will not be seeking re-election to Calibre’s Board of Directors during the annual general meeting scheduled for June 12, 2024.

Hurst has been a Board member since 2016 and has served on the Audit and Governance committees. Threlkeld, who joined the Board in 2018, has been a member of the Compensation, Governance, Safety, Health, Environment, Sustainability, and Technical Committees.

Calibre also announced the nomination of Omaya Elguindi for election to the Board at the upcoming meeting. The Board has recommended her election as an independent director. Elguindi has over 20 years of experience in the North American technology business sector.
