**Skanska AB Secures Major Contract for 7 Millbank Redevelopment in London**
Skanska AB, a prominent Swedish construction firm, has secured a significant contract with Baola Properties Limited, managed by Old Park Lane Management, for comprehensive construction and mechanical and electrical engineering services in the redevelopment of 7 Millbank in London, UK.
Valued at £105 million (approximately 1.4 billion Swedish kronor), this contract will be reflected in Skanska's European order bookings for the third quarter of 2024.
The project is set to commence in July 2024, with a scheduled completion date in January 2027. Skanska will spearhead the construction of a new nine-storey office building, inclusive of two basement levels.
The undertaking encompasses the design and construction of approximately 12,100 square meters of adaptable workspace. A notable feature of this project is the meticulous deconstruction, storage, and subsequent reconstruction of the original historic façade, ensuring that the new structure preserves and enhances its historical character.
