Colombia’s imports grew 9.70% year-on-year in January 2026, marking a clear acceleration from the previous month’s pace. In December 2025, imports had risen 7.10% compared to a year earlier, according to the latest data updated on 19 March 2026.
Both figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month’s imports with the same month in the prior year. The stronger January reading suggests that external demand for goods and services in Colombia continued to firm at the start of 2026, building on the momentum seen at the end of 2025.
