Global football has officially welcomed its first billionaire. The lucky man is Ronaldo, the striker for Saudi club Al-Nassr and the Portuguese national team. Bloomberg announced that the “Ronaldo business” is now worth $1.4 billion, officially making the football star a billionaire. This amount does not even count goal-scoring bonuses or the cheers of adoring supporters.
The 40-year-old Cristiano had the honor of joining the ranks of ultra-wealthy athletes after signing a contract with Al-Nassr reportedly worth over $400 million. Apparently, footballers can now ask not just for generous bonuses, but for private islands too.
Between 2002 and 2023, Ronaldo earned $550 million, excluding his Nike deal, which generates $18 million annually. Among his other commercial projects are partnerships with Armani and Castrol. All in all, Ronaldo is already living a dream life as a football billionaire.
