British Rolls-Royce Group reported its intention to fire 400 employees at the division producing ship engines. It should be mentioned that in May the company already announced 600 job cuts.
The cost of job reduction is planned to be around 30 million pounds (45 million US dollars). At the same time, Rolls-Royce’s expenditures would shrink by more than 40 million British pounds a year, starting next year.
According to the concern’s experts, this year revenue of the ship engine division is expected to range from 1.45-1.65 billion pound sterlings, while the profit is forecasted to hit 40 million pounds.
