Most secure bitcoin repository is located in Switzerland

For many years, Swiss banks have ensured the safety of money and other material assets. In many countries, reliability and the Swiss bank are considered synonymous. Therefore, it is not surprising that the most secure and capacious repository of bitcoins is also located in Switzerland.

About 7 percent of all produced bitcoins are stored on Xapo's servers. The approximate cost of such an amount of crypto currency exceeds $10 billion. It should be noted that Xapo specialists managed to maximally secure the virtual funds of their customers. The equipment is kept in a former military bunker, high up in the mountains. The territory is protected, and access to the servers is strictly limited. For this reason, not only private individuals and companies keep their bitcoins here, but even whole countries whose authorities decided to participate in this "crypto madness". Providing services of the highest quality, Xapo very quickly became the leader in its segment. "This means that in just four years (Xapo began providing storage services in 2014), the amount of Xapo deposits exceeded the amounts that are on the accounts of 98 percent of a 5,670 US banks," Bloomberg experts writes.

The bunker is ideal for "cold storage", here bitcoins are stored offline which minimizes a threat of theft. However, Xapo customers will need a couple of days to get their currency. At this time the company checks the identity of the client and the authenticity of his request for the transfer of the cryptocurrency. Then Xapo manually signs transactions with private keys located in different locations of the bunker.
