Russia's oil production increased to 11.513 million tons per day or 11.1 million barrels per day in the first week of June.
The country’s oil output never got below 1.511 million tons per day. Daily output reached 1.516 million tons.
Russia agreed to keep its production at 10.947 million bpd as part of the OPEC/non-OPEC deal, but June’s levels exceeded the threshold by 143,000 bpd.
The Russian Energy Ministry said the country pumped more than its quota under the deal with OPEC on curbing output for three months in a row. Only in spring production neared the target.
The increase in oil production in June was recorded by Rosneft. Over the first week of June, the company boosted its oil production by 2.9% from May 2018 to 536,800 tons per day. Earlier, Russia’s energy minister Alexander Novak said that OPEC countries and other oil producers were ready to discuss the possibility of increasing oil production within the framework of the agreement.
