The closer the 2020 US Presidential Election approaches, the hotter is the struggle. Candidates use any tool at their disposal to attract potential voters. Usually, they promise unprecedented economic growth and an improvement in the well-being of ordinary citizens. However, sometimes they resort to more radical measures, becoming the prophets of doom. Candidates running for the post of the president start warning their voters of what would happen if they make the wrong choice.
For instance, Donald Trump said that at the end of autumn a blue wave would crash into US investment portfolios. He paints rather a grim picture of the economy and stock market if his main competitor, Joe Biden, wins the 2020 presidential election. Trump assures investors that if Biden is elected, the stock market will soon find out how low the stock market could actually fall. "If you want your 401k's and stocks, which are getting closer to an all time high (NASDAQ is already there), to disintegrate and disappear, vote for the Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats and Corrupt Joe Biden," he tweeted. The ominous warning came after Joe Biden's plan to raise taxes on corporations and wealthy households. It means that any other candidate is less competent for the post of the US President and he is the only savior of the economy and the stock market. Besides, Trump always boasts of high economic indicators set during his presidency.
Biden has already been chosen as the Democratic front-runner in the upcoming election. Moreover, he gained the support of 2,171 members of the Party’s National Convention, which will be held in August. To win the first round of voting at the National Convention, he should receive the votes of 1,991 delegates.
The 59th US Presidential Election will take place on November 3.
