India has already banned 118 Chinese services and apps, including versions of Tencent Holdings Ltd.’s popular game PUBG Mobile, Baidu, and Alibaba group's subsidiary Ant Group amid accusations of stealing users' personal data by the Chinese security services. "India is taking a more aggressive stance towards China, both to reduce its economic reliance on China while also trying to show that India won’t be caught off guard again and will push back against perceived Chinese attempts to change the status quo," Akhil Bery, an analyst at Eurasia Group, pinpointed. It is not hard to notice that the accusations correspond to ones made by the US. It is no secret that many large companies in China have long been in an iron grip of China’s government. More than once, they have suffered colossal losses due to inappropriate foreign policy. Today, more and more countries are revising their relations with China amid possible threats to the safety of personal data. Delhi also decided to block Chinese apps in order to avoid leakage of sensitive data. In addition, this tough measure will promote the development of their own technologies and closer integration with the US.
