Janet Yellen will not only be the first female Fed chair and Treasury Secretary, but the first person to head both organizations and the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Analysts assume that Yellen will advocate for more aggressive fiscal policy and focus on tackling economic inequality and climate change. Janet Yellen received her PhD in economics from Yale University under the supervision of Nobel laureates James Tobin and Joseph Stiglitz. She is married to Nobel-winning economist George Akerlof.
