Elsewhere, New Zealand is expected to report results for the Performance of Services Index from BusinessNZ for April. In the previous month, the index recorded a score of 47.5.
In Australia, the National Australia Bank (NAB) is due to release its business confidence and conditions indexes for April. In March, the confidence and conditions indexes recorded scores of +1 and +9, respectively.
Meanwhile, Taiwan is set to disclose its first-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) figures, with economists expecting a year-on-year increase of 6.51 percent — a slight acceleration from the 4.93 percent rise observed in the prior quarter.
