A fire erupted at a Novo Nordisk construction site in Kalundborg, Denmark, on Thursday, according to reports.
Photos of the scene depict thick black smoke billowing from the area.
Novo Nordisk confirmed the incident via an emailed statement to Reuters: "We can confirm that a fire broke out today in the roof of a building under construction at a construction site at Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg."
The company reassured the public that no injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire or assess the full extent of the damage. However, prompt intervention by emergency services likely prevented further escalation.
"The fire brigade and police are on site, and the authorities report that the fire has been extinguished," the company added.
